oops I did it again..

tadaaaa… so what’s new?? I got caught up in the whirlwind of life and forgot to blog for the past 3 months..

it’s really difficult to open the laptop when Nardyne’s around.. because she wants to watch Barney on my laptop.. she already tore off the Enter and Ctrl keys off the keyboard..

in a nutshell
- i have sat for 2 more exams; one with not much problems, then other with lots of drama. The gist of the drama: we were told exam format is answer ONE question out of THREE, come exam time the instruction was answer TWO questions out of THREE..

- i spoke at a seminar for 45mins in front of about 20 people who are from the Learning & Development industry, i had nightmares just preparing for it.. but it was not too bad at the end hahaha

- i have been working for two days every week for the past 3 weeks.. why??
week 18 – i had a cooking accident in the kitchen, 2 days MC + Labour Day
week 19 – Nardyne caught the flu bug with high fever, 2 days childcare leave + 1 day annual leave
week 20 – I caught the flu bug with fever, 2 days MC + Vesak Day
No wonder my boss is wondering where have I been and how come I haven’t got any work done..

- I got class tonight and exam in 3 Saturdays’ time.. too much to read, too little time.. *sigh*

de-wisdom-nized..

after enduring a week of pain (i suspected a missing filling and a wisdom tooth), i managed to look up my previous dentist and made an appointment with him.. the clinic that he was with was bought over by a large dental chain in Singapore but he’s still the resident dentist at Marsiling.. the only reason that i’m going back to him was that he extracted my right wisdom teeth 3 years ago and he would have the record of it (and the difficulties that he went through)..

so i got the last two wisdom teeth extracted 2 saturdays ago.. it was hell of a pain.. and it’s still healing.. i think Dr Khor injected a lot more anaesthesia this time round (remembering that i’m so scared of the pain) before he got started to crack my lower wisdom tooth.. after a lot of drilling, cracking, pushing (about almost 40mins!!), it finally came out in pieces.. my tooth had 3 roots and it was hook-shaped instead of straight.. the top tooth came out very easily but it was hurting the most..

got 5 days MC, maxed out my company medical claims with the $640 bill and it’s not covered under insurance.. well at least can pay with medisave, just need to wait for the cheque to come in two to three months time..

and the rest of the holes will have to wait til next year when i get to claim again hehe

last tutorial today…

time passes by so fast.. just a few weeks ago (4 & a half weeks to be exact) i attended the intensive lecture for the first module of my course, Quantitative Methods of Management (or affectionately known as Quants)..  and today is the last tutorial session.. OMG!! and now that I have submitted my assignment, i have to start preparing for the exam paper next Saturday.. double OMG!! (so the drama lah Lyn)

so what have i learnt? I learnt that you can always count on your classmates for extra materials and for checking answers of the assignment and that the tutor always lost me after break time.. on another note, Quants is not really difficult, most of the things covered are things that I’ve done before during O Levels and the Finance part during the prep course.. it’s just that i don’t do the tutorial before class and i don’t pay attention during the tutorial..

so i’ve done my own reading and done the tutorial questions on my own.. i’ve finished the first half of the contents.. i guess i should be joining them for the group study but i hvnt.. maybe next week lah..
