i have a problem with weekends..

they are never enough.. i don’t think i had enough rest on the weekends since June started..

on the first June weekend, i was busy with my Economics exam..

on the second June weekend, i was with my extended maternal family for a picnic at Pasir Ris Park on Saturday.. a whole day of fun and strange weather.. strange being that it was hot the whole week and it rained heavily for half an hour in the late morning.. and strange because we encountered strong winds towards the evening that our tent broke.. and I had a full day Marketing lecture on Sunday..

on the third June weekend, i had a half day marketing lecture on Saturday and spent the rest of the weekend with Dino’s extended maternal family at a certain Good Class Bungalow that a certain celebrity bought recently.. haha.. I’ve been there at least once a month for an overnight since 2007.. i’m definitely going to miss that place.. it’s where I had my first swim when I was pregnant with Nardyne.. it’s where Nardyne first started swimming.. though she didnt like it at first.. but she’s going splish splash splosh everytime she goes in.. she still didnt like the jacuzzi though.. it’s where we had a strange encounter with the radio one morning.. it’s where we had our crab party (see previous entry in Jan).. i didn’t take any pictures of the place, i like to keep it in my memories

so what’s up this weekend?

after the long long holidays..

it’s back to school after the Christmas and New Year holidays.. and this time, the intensive lecture week started yesterday, on a Sunday instead of a Monday.. so imagine me dragging myself to wake up early on a Sunday morning, trying to get ready & get to class on time for the first lecture.. it’s not easy.. well at least she finished early yesterday..

while I was in class, Nardyne & Dino went to his friend’s son’s birthday party at Loyang.. it’s one of the few times when Dino had to handle her himself.. but he had help from others.. but i guess he did pretty well for someone who did not sleep the night before..

in the evening, i took Nardyne into the pool again, this time all her grandaunts and her Oma (Indonesian for grandma) were in the pool too so she was very excited.. she didnt want to come out of the pool after that..

crabby weekend..

it was a great idea and it was absolutely worth it..

the topic/craving of eating crab was ping-ponged between me and Dino several times last month and some how Dino’s aunts had the same craving.. it was mentioned one night while eating chilli crab at his grand’s place that we should have a crab party or something..

we decided to treat the family crab (as in buy live crabs) if someone was willing to cook them.. Dino bought close to 40 medium-sized crabs for about $270 from Tekka market. And his aunt & sister cooked chilli crab, black pepper crab and buttered crab over the weekend. We also had cereal prawns, bone steak and lots of other food. It was cholesterol metropolis but food was GREAT!

Nardyne was excited to go swimming in the pool. And both times she didnt want to get out of the water but we have to keep a tab of 30 mins so that she dont catch a cold.. and coincidentally I brought the swim suit that my BIL bought for her so the three cousins were wearing the same purple Powerpuff Girls swim suits over the weekend..

should do it again some time soon..
