For the longest time (well only since early this year) I’ve been scouting for a replacement for my current Motorola V3x, which the contract with Singtel expired last month. The phone has served me well and it’s time to move on to a new one, a better one.
Ever since Dino got his Nokia N95 8G, I’ve been looking for a similar phone. You see, I was jealous because we were using the same phone before he got the Nokia. So now I want something better hehehe
First there was HTC, a brand I never used before (I’ve used Ericsson, a few Nokia models, Samsung, Sony Ericsson and now Motorola). Then I looked at iPhone. Through some of the reviews, it doesnt seem to be worth it . The tie up with Singtel later this year will be iPhone 3G, which also seem not worth it because I have my reasons for wanting WiFi. But I’m still considering of reserving a unit.
At the PC Show in June, I saw two more possibilities. Mwg (previously known as O2) Zinc II and HTC Touch Diamond. Reviews for Zinc II specs were bad. Then came the announcement for Samsung i900 Omnia, and I said, “Damn I’ve got to have it!!”
I’ve made a phone comparison on Singtel for Omnia, Zinc II and Touch Diamond. The result is very clear. Omnia has everything that I want and more. It’s touch-screen, uses Win Mobile 6.1, camera with video recording, radio, GPS, bluetooth, WiFi, 16GB built-in memory with expandable slot. It’s sleek and slim. What else am I waiting for????
The money to buy I guess
D.
OMNIA, means ‘everything’ in Latin and ‘wish’ in Arabic. I WISH I can win it somehow. I want it before the Motorola gives way and I have to resort to buy a cheap alternative and be stuck with it for another 2 years. I’ve never used the calendar function in my phones, but with OMNIA I will use EVERYTHING, all the available functions to its full potential.
My birthday’s coming up next month *hint hint*
