i have a problem with weekends..

they are never enough.. i don’t think i had enough rest on the weekends since June started..

on the first June weekend, i was busy with my Economics exam..

on the second June weekend, i was with my extended maternal family for a picnic at Pasir Ris Park on Saturday.. a whole day of fun and strange weather.. strange being that it was hot the whole week and it rained heavily for half an hour in the late morning.. and strange because we encountered strong winds towards the evening that our tent broke.. and I had a full day Marketing lecture on Sunday..

on the third June weekend, i had a half day marketing lecture on Saturday and spent the rest of the weekend with Dino’s extended maternal family at a certain Good Class Bungalow that a certain celebrity bought recently.. haha.. I’ve been there at least once a month for an overnight since 2007.. i’m definitely going to miss that place.. it’s where I had my first swim when I was pregnant with Nardyne.. it’s where Nardyne first started swimming.. though she didnt like it at first.. but she’s going splish splash splosh everytime she goes in.. she still didnt like the jacuzzi though.. it’s where we had a strange encounter with the radio one morning.. it’s where we had our crab party (see previous entry in Jan).. i didn’t take any pictures of the place, i like to keep it in my memories

so what’s up this weekend?

atypical woman driver..

i hate it whenever we encounter a slow driver or a driver who is indecisive, because dino is quick to peg the driver as a woman driver.. well 90% of the time he is right.. the other 10% are men.. this has made me determined not to be labelled as a typical woman driver by anyone, especially my husband..

so when i drive, i always try to be decisive, ask the question once and decide immediately.. to overtake or not, to change lane or not, to honk or not (haha) but i never never high beam.. 

so something happened to me just now that started off typical but ended atypical.. (and you can say i am proud of myself)

i was at amk hub, wanting to go Fairprice to get some things.. i was looking for a parking lot and of the 43 lots available, i chose the one that was at the corner of a U-shape area.. i cant park the usual way because there was no space for me to manuever & park rear first.. so i thought i park head in.. i realised i was a little close to the black car next to me so i reversed, adjusted and the more i adjust, the closer i got to the next car.. i started to panic.. OH SHIT! if i brushed against that car, i’m dead!!

so i said to myself, “STOP! and think..” My first thought, call Dino to rescue me but he didnt answer my call (good thing too he didnt answer coz i’m gonna get a hell of a scolding from him for being stupid).. my second thought, get help from one of the drivers but i was too embarassed.. then i got out of the car from the passenger side.. and assessed my stupid situation.. after looking at it, i decided all i needed to do was to straighten my wheels and reverse slowly.. so i got back into the car and did just that.. and fwuuuhhhhhh.. i managed not to touch the other car at all, i estimated i was only an inch away at the narrowest point.. i straightened the car and left it like that because my arms got too tired and sore from turning the wheels full-lock left and right..

when i got back from Fairprice, the other car was not there anymore so I guess I was lucky to leave earlier, without the owner finding me in that stupid situation..

i still got the shakes as i drove out of the place.. never again will i attempt to park in that area again hehe

oops I did it again..

tadaaaa… so what’s new?? I got caught up in the whirlwind of life and forgot to blog for the past 3 months..

it’s really difficult to open the laptop when Nardyne’s around.. because she wants to watch Barney on my laptop.. she already tore off the Enter and Ctrl keys off the keyboard..

in a nutshell
- i have sat for 2 more exams; one with not much problems, then other with lots of drama. The gist of the drama: we were told exam format is answer ONE question out of THREE, come exam time the instruction was answer TWO questions out of THREE..

- i spoke at a seminar for 45mins in front of about 20 people who are from the Learning & Development industry, i had nightmares just preparing for it.. but it was not too bad at the end hahaha

- i have been working for two days every week for the past 3 weeks.. why??
week 18 – i had a cooking accident in the kitchen, 2 days MC + Labour Day
week 19 – Nardyne caught the flu bug with high fever, 2 days childcare leave + 1 day annual leave
week 20 – I caught the flu bug with fever, 2 days MC + Vesak Day
No wonder my boss is wondering where have I been and how come I haven’t got any work done..

- I got class tonight and exam in 3 Saturdays’ time.. too much to read, too little time.. *sigh*
